Hello Blues Nation our Bioplant lady Blues have commenced offseason last week with a bang all the girls are looking fit and are ready to take on a vigorous 4 month offseason that will see them mixing it up with the top juniors in the club.
The offseason consists of strength and conditioning as well as individual skills sessions and a team training session midweek. With Kelly Bowen ripping it up in the WNBL and Kayla Standish not due in until March 1st our 3 returning players and one new addition are hard at work here learning a new system that will see the Lady blues playing an up tempo, high intensity transition game with an emphasis on defensive pressure and a commitment to team basketball on the offensive end.
At the moment our roster sits at 10 players. Six contracted players and 4 juniors from our under 18’s team. We are still in the hunt for a marquee point guard and one other piece to complete the puzzle.
The upcoming season will be full of expectations and excitement. With teams in full recruiting mode it will be one of the best SEABL competitions in recent years.
The entire coaching staff and players are looking forward to a successful season.
